About Us
The first step towards change is knowledge distribution and health empowerment. "The first duty of the physician is to educate the masses, on preventive medicine". With this basic principle, Indian Liver Patient Foundation (ILPF) has emerged as a movement that believes patient care is not confined to a Doctor’s Chamber only; the patient himself too can act as a leader in the community by sharing his own experiences and knowledge. Initially what started as a campaign for sharing facts and information related to liver disease, has now become a trendsetter in the field of holistic health care. ILPF is a health based charitable organization by the patients, doctors, philanthropists, volunteers and people from all walks of life, who came forward to serve for the reduction of liver disease in particular and preventive as well as promotive holistic health in general. It is also involved in the patient support as well as patient welfare activities, medical research and public health trying to empower the mass on issues like hygiene, health, liver disease, organ donation with focus on stress reduction, de-addiction, meditation and dietary practice sessions. ILPF is registered under Indian Trust act 1882 since Nov 2016, is listed in NITI ATYOG Darpan and has got the income tax exemption U/S 80 Indian Income Tax Act 1961.
